What To Expect
Drop off
The guest cat can be dropped off at our home near Dundas and Trafalgar on the day of the check in between 5 PM and 8 PM.
All cats must arrive with a name tag around their necks, in secure and adequately spacious and, (preferably) individual carriers. Cats must be accompanied by their food and feeding schedules updated. If a schedule is not provided, cats are served meals at a 9-3-9 schedule.
Cats that follow a free-feeding or ‘buffet-style’ diet will be moved to a fixed schedule of their parents’ choice once they start sharing a communal space with other cats. This is done for the health and safety of all cats.
We will ensure that your cat is fed adequately, and the portion is a little extra (appetite and weight appropriate). Being away from home is stressful for cats. We want their tummies to be full so they have one less thing to worry about.
It is encouraged for cats to bring their own:
- Food bowls or disposable bowls,
- 1 toy (We suggest larger toys (sometimes cats hide their smaller toys in their secret corners and make it difficult to find them), and
- 1 article of clothing from their parents.
Note: Please don’t bring cat towers.

What to expect in the first few days?
Every cat starts in an intake room with very limited interaction with other cats. This gives the newcomer time to acclimate to the new humans, place, and smells. Depending on the cat’s comfort, they are gradually allowed to explore more areas of the home and interact with other cats.
Important: All cats have different personalities, and adapt to the new space at their own pace. Some bbs are shy and hide in their carriers for most of their stay, some bbs take about a week to adjust to the place, while some can roam around right away as soon as they are out of their carriers. While we cannot guarantee how long your cat would take to get used to our home and warm up to us, we ensure we keep cats as comfortable as possible and communicate with you every day to update you on which stage your cat is at.
During the Stay.
Cats get to enjoy plenty of sun, space for zoomies, naps, and catnip (unless opted out). They get daily complimentary eye cleaning, brushes and pets. We take a lot of videos and pictures of your bb, which we share regularly.

Pick Up.
When it's time for the bb to go home, we request you visit us between 7 AM and 10 AM. We will bring your cat to your vehicle in the same carrier it arrived in, with all the items brought for the stay.
